Lakehurst Elementary School Sports

The Lakehurst School District offers a variety of programs on both the interscholastic and intramural level. Middle school students in good standing are afforded the opportunity to participate in interscholastic soccer, basketball, and volleyball. A variety of intramural programs are also run throughout the school year. Fall soccer and winter basketball programs are part of the Central Jersey Middle School Athletic League. This competitive league is comprised of nine schools from our local area. Spring volleyball players compete within the Monmouth /Ocean Volleyball League. This league is made up of seven schools from the Shore area. Good sportsmanship and a strong work ethic are the foundation of the sports program. Since the inception of these programs our students have achieved much success and have had several championship seasons. Our student athletes have developed a sense of pride in representing their school and community in a positive manner.

Soccer 2007

The Lakehurst soccer teams are part of the Central Jersey Middle School Athletic League. All students in grades 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th who meet the school’s eligibility requirements may try-out** for the team.

The 2007 soccer season begins in early September and runs until the first week of November. Home games are played at the LMSA Soccer Complex, Colonial Drive, Manchester.

Volleyball 2007 / 2008

Lakehurst Elementary School is a member of the Monmouth-Ocean Volleyball League. All students in grades 5^th through 8^th who meet the school’s eligibility requirements may try-out** for the team. The 2007-2008 basketball season will begin try-outs in November 2007. LES is a member of the Central Jersey Middle School Athletic League and the basketball season runs from December through March. All 6^th, 7^th and 8^th grade students who are eligible may try-out**.
