Miss Bridget Bayer
"A career in speech-language pathology challenges you to use your intellect (the talents of your mind) in combination with your humanity (the gifts in your heart) to do meaningful work that feeds your soul... I am proud to be a member of what I consider to be the best profession on earth." - Megan Hodge
I feel this quote truly captures the essence of the work I do as a speech-language pathologist. A little about me - I completed my bachelors degree at Montclair State University where I majored in Linguistics with a minor in Communication Sciences and Disorders, as well as studied American Sign Language. I recently completed my masters degree in speech-language pathology at Monmouth University. Within my academic studies I was provided opportunities to utilize and enhance my clinical skills across the scope of practice. I look forward to providing each of my students with individualized therapy and watching them acheive their goals throughout the 2019-2020 school year.
Welcome to speech! I am very excited to nurture your child's speech and language abilities. I am a recent graduate from Kean University, where I earned my Master's in Speech-Language Pathology. Throughout the past two years, I developed my clinical skills in working with both children and adults. I have a well-rounded understanding of developmental speech and language milestones, as well as, communication disorders. My philosophy is speech and language intervention must coexist with a child's development academically and socially. My goal is to develop individualized goals for each student to increase their success within their class and to build their confidence to be effective communicators. Please reach me by email or phone with any questions. I am happy to help every child find their voice.
